Hitler came to power in 1933 when he was appointed to Chancellor of Germany (Adolf). And after that, all “hell” broke loose. Hitler introduced a new type of warfare called “blitzkrieg” and he just rushed all over Europe, making everybody mad at what they're doing. But, the war officially started on September 1, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland and a few days later Britain and France declared war on Germany (Appleby 462).
According to a World War II article, In 1919, Michael Keogh saved “a little-known demagogue” who was on the point of being beaten to death by an angry mob, his name (Could)? Adolf Hitler. This was Keogh’s second time seeing Hitler, the first time was when they were assigned to the same Bavarian Infantry Regiment. He made it to power because the Treaty of Versailles caused the German’s to pay ridiculous amounts of money. They printed off so much money that their currency had no value and their economy just crashed. The German people just wanted a leader in office who could take their problems away, and that is exactly what he did. Since everybody was willing to listen to him, he could do whatever he wanted, and again he did just that.
When Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941 (Appleby 479) it woke up the sleeping giant that Churchill said America was and it forced us to enter the war to get revenge on Japan. If we were never attacked by Japan we wouldn’t of been fighting in the war which would of saved millions of lives and billions of dollars. It also wouldn’t of caused us to drop the A-Bomb on Japan which we were criticized heavily on.
In conclusion, basically there was no chance of World War II being prevented in any way. Maybe, if Hitler died before he came to power then that’s a different story but it didn’t happen.
