Global warming has always been a thought in the back of scientist heads and they knew that it could eventually happen because of the heating of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, but in the early 1990’s, scientists had discovered that global warming was quickly becoming an issue on Earth and according to many researches, 97% of those scientist say that humans are the reason for it. According to the PBS documentary, “the climate has gone up 4-5 degrees in just the last fifty years in Alaska, while it should only rise one temperature a year.” The climates are migrating and causing disasters in new regions.

When people are driving their vehicle everywhere it is producing gases, such as carbon dioxide, which are very harmful for a human to breathe in, and those gases are polluting the air. Also, when as the cars are producing these harmful gases, the gases can also sink into the soil and surface waters where they can enter our human food chain. When they enter the food chain, that means humans are digesting these gases. They can affect the human 's reproductive system, respiratory system, and immune systems. People may develop heart disease, especially younger children and newborns because their organs are not fully developed yet as for adults organs are. When people have too much exposure to these gases, they may feel tired and may develop a headache. The U.S. is trying to create cars that will burn more less fuels. A California cop agency was the first cop car agency to have hybrid cars. On HBO, reporter Shane Smith says that, “melting glaciers are also a factor to the sea level rising, in the country of Bangladesh it is said that people are having to move their houses further back from the water because of the rising of the water levels. Since 2009, 25,000 homes have been destroyed.” Also it has been said that “by the end of the century, 15% of Bangladesh will be covered in salt water.¨ The sea level rising is also causing damage to our

The Clean Air Act (CAA) is an environmental law made by the U.S. government. This federal law aims at regulating air emissions from stationary sources such as industries and mobile sources such as vehicles. It was established to authorize the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to establish National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) that protects the public health through regulation of emissions that have a hazardous effect on air (Sueyoshi & Goto, 2010). The CAA was established in 1963 after several deaths were experienced in 1948 and 1952 due to air pollution. It was amended in 1977 and 1990 with the objective of setting new goals to achieve the attainment of NAAQS.…

The Liberal Hoax Climate Change: A long-term change in the Earth’s climate, especially a change due to an increase in the average atmospheric temperature. It is largely due to the increasing amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere. Ever since the industrial revolution, it has been a rapidly growing issue. More recently, however, certain groups of people have begun to deny this scientifically proven phenomenon. In fact, in 2015, Donald Trump, who now is the President of the United States of America has stated, “I’m not a believer in man-made global warming.”…

Imagine our future, a prosperous and alluring world covered with green trees and thriving plant life. All the people are amicable and healthy, it is the ideal community. Sadly, this is not a viable opportunity if we continue to ignore the pressing issue of global warming. Global warming is defined as “the gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants” (“Global Warming”). In simpler terms, it is the warming of our atmosphere due to the pollution created by humans.…

Global Warming is more than just temperature change. The cost of global warming is extraordinarily expensive. According to a report by the United Nation 's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, released in March 2014, the Earth 's rising temperature could bring about economic disaster ranging anywhere between $70 and $100 billion a year. This would be the result of “the combined cost of crop losses, rising sea levels, higher temperatures and fresh water shortages” (Surrey 2016). Furthermore, the estimates do not account for major, catastrophic natural events such as tsunamis, Earthquakes, and super storms, which would only increase the overall cost of global warming.…

The worlds glaciers have been shrinking at a frightening rate which has seen all 19 glacier regions of the world shrinking; this fast increase in melting has caused an increase in the amount of water flowing into the ocean causing the sea level to rise. The most iconic glaciers are disappearing faster the most. Between 2003 and 2009 ice has been lost at a rate of 259 billion plus or minus 28 billion tonnes per year. This increase is enough to raise the sea level by about 0.7mm per year. These extreme sea level events cause both social and economical impact on low-lying coastal communities, which often result in the loss of lives and numerous property damage.…

One of the greatest challenges of our existence in this planet is global warming. It is even a challenge for some to believe it, going so far as to call it a hoax. The rise of the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere is believed to permanently change our climate. The fact that Antarctic Peninsula being the most rapidly-warming part of the southern hemisphere, about 10 times faster than the rest of the world, impacting on the volume of water in the world’s ocean. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, global warming is “the recent increase in the world 's temperature that is believed to be caused by the increase of certain gases (such as carbon dioxide) in the atmosphere.” Interestingly enough, most of the scientific community is in turmoil about if global warming is really happening, making it difficult for the population to know what to think.…

Global warming is a major issue facing the world today. The earth’s physical temperature has gradually began to increase by one degree almost every year. A temperature increase of one degrees does not sound harmful but yet it has caused many natural disasters such as droughts and major storms like floods, tsunamis, and unexpected tornados. Fossil fuels, deforestation, and electrical power plants are some factors that have caused this global crisis. Fossil fuels, deforestation, and electrical power plants release harmful chemicals such as carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.…

Whether it is being hotly debated by the nations top pundits on a news show or discussed in the term papers of meteorology students, global warming is a worldwide issue that has dominated the media circuits in waves of attention. Each time a major population center is devastated by an atmospheric disaster, or we are treated to a picture of a drought-stricken river, the general masses are once again reminded of their supposed (depending on the argument you subscribe to) impact on the planet we inhabit. With the advent of superstorms such as Hurricane Katrina and Andrew, with the rapidly drying arid areas of the Southwesten United States, and images of ice caps with emaciated polar bears hobbling along the great white expanse, it is impossible…

After studying and analyzing the earth, they came up with the term known as Global warming. Global Warming can be defined as “the unusual and frequent increase in the earth’s temperature over time, primarily due to the greenhouse gases released by people burning fossil fuels. Looking back to the history of the earth, it has experience several changes; climate has been one of the major factor that has greatly impacted the earth.” (Riebeek, para 1).…

The first major sign of evidence is the melting of ice caps such as Antarctica. “Antarctica has been losing about 134 billion metric tons of ice per year since 2002”(Macmillan). That is an astonishing number which will harm animal habitats and cause flooding. Also, as a result of the melting ice, and ultimately global warming, “global sea level rose about 17 centimeters (6.7 inches) in the last century” which has raised a red flag to scientists around the globe.(“Climate Change Evidence: How Do We Know?”). The rise in sea levels and the melting of the ice caps will eventually affect every part of the world.…
