The two poems that will be discussed in this research in terms of the new themes are “Corinna’s Going A Maying” by Robert Herrick and “To His Coy Mistress” by Andrew Marvell, “Corinna’s Going A Maying” is briefly about a man who is trying to convince his lover to go out and celebrate the spring season at the begging of May, and this was a tradition in England back then. There are several famous rituals back then, the most significant one is the celebration of spring and the month of May, where people go out and enjoy the spectacular weather and activities to celebrate the spring season.

The lines above shows the importance of the celebration of May back then in England, and that it is as religious as saying your beads or your prayers.
Also, another famous ritual is the Maypole dance, which is a dance performed by people to celebrate spring, which is mostly during the month of May.
