They are not supplied with new books nor up to date technology. I know this because I have experienced attending a school in the North Lawndale area called “Herzl elementary school” the school gave books that were not understandable because it had ink all over the pages. The same goes for the Roseland neighborhood schools. In the Roseland neighborhood, the statement “Support our schools” is very rare to here. I attend “Julian High School” I experienced on multiple occasions were as there were barely any books in class and the teacher had to constantly make copies for almost every assignment given. The Race that is commonly seen in the North Lawndale neighborhood is Majority African Americans and very few Hispanics. I know this because when you typically walk in the North Lawndale neighborhood you would typically see people of these races there. also, for example, you walk into a nearby store and usually there is a Hispanic and African American man working behind the counter.
The same goes for the Roseland neighborhood. It is typically a majority of African Americans and very Hispanics. In this neighborhood, you will tend to see Many of African American roaming everywhere on the streets. Also, you will commonly see them in front of liquor stores as well. This is Important because it is good to know what culture, the race is in your community.
A distinction between the two neighborhoods North Lawndale and Roseland is the locations. North Lawndale is located on the west side of Chicago. Were as the Roseland neighborhood is located on the South side of Chicago. This is a big distinction because it is a two totally different areas, of course, that has a different way of slang and style. From my experience with the North Lawndale neighborhood, where I am from, is that they have a different way of pronouncing certain terms it’s the same with the Roseland area.
