The major problem that Dr. Talgia discusses is the blind acceptance of the alien science that is proposed to replace the Hypothetico-Deductive method. Surely, the changes made to traditional scientific methods by the alien technology define a different form of advancement in the sciences, but should not replace the traditional methods of hypothesis and scientific experimentation that can exist outside of alien theories. Ironically, it was the aliens that decided to utilize the Hypothetico-Deductive Method to disprove traditional theories of the human scientific community: “After only a few years of experiments …show more content…
Historically the development of this theory of scientific observation has made great advances in human science, since the overarching quest to prove and disprove theories from an objective vantage point provides a variety of experimental procedures. In the case of the Neighbors, it is important for human beings to understand the underlying foundation of alien science, which can be amalgamated into the Hypothetico-Deductive method. This historical tract has led to a common basis for “reasoning” that allows for a process of setting forth a hypothesis and then either proving or disproving this hypothesis through vigorous forms of clinical case studies and experimental …show more content…
For instance, Barseghyan (2015) defines the first law of “scientific inertia” as a way to understand the error of consensus when deciding to reject the Hypothetico-Deductive Method: “When applied to theories, the first law stipulates that an accepted theory is not rejected unless there is a suitable replacement” (Barseghyan, 2015, p.124). In this theory, Barseghyan (2015) is stating that a scientific theory should not be altered, unless a suitable replacement has been provided. So I ask this question: “Is there a suitable replacement for the alien scientific method to replace Hypothetico-Deductive Method?” The answer is: No. The aliens have merely utilized their own method of the Hypothetico-Deductive Method to present a theory that human science has failed to discover due to failed hypothetical assertions about the reality of the universe. Therefore, the Barseghyan’s (2015) laws of scientific change preserve humanity’s right to continue their own scientific observations through the Hypothetico-Deductive Method, which basically utilize the same methods utilized by the
