America would not be the same if Christopher Columbus had not sail to find Asia. Christopher Columbus sail in the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria the ships had been sponsor by the Spanish crown in charge of king Ferdinand and queen Isabella . The sponsorship did not come easy for Columbus, trying to obtain sponsorship was not easy but when he propose to the Spanish crown a new route to Asia, the Spanish agree. But the calculations Columbus made would mark a new unravel place by anyone in the old world. The trip took longer than expected, where Columbus thought was an Asia, Columbus was greeted by “Indians” for he thought he reach India. Christopher Columbus should be credited with starting the first exchange of goods. The first taste the Indians sense of the Europeans would impacted how future and present exchanges would be imply. The Columbian exchange would have not been possible without the contribution of Christopher Columbus. This period, and the few hundred years that followed, saw the dislocation of millions of people, the extermination of many more in large part through the introduction of new diseases, and the expansion of cash-cropping on a remarkable scale Columbus establish the first connections with the Indians that would set how others view the new profound territory (Boivin 453). Columbus established the first principles of the Columbian exchange that contribute to the interactions with the Indians, exchange of goods, and settling land. The Columbia exchange brought new ideas from the old world to the new world. Europeans that had follow Columbus footsteps in trading with Indians. The Indians tribes closer to the Atlantic Ocean would start trading with the European. Some of the goods the Indians trade were potatoes and herbs. European would trade horses, pigs, ETC this part of the exchange was good the good communication the Europeans establish with the Indians would depend on how well the exchange would go. The Columbian exchange brought new ways of Indians to stay in one place and cultivate the land with the Europeans help. Which help them make strong bonds to Europeans goods making it hard for future natives to continue their traditions. The Columbian exchange is a critical aspect of the development of the Americas and the history that was going to be established. It brought great new ways for natives to stay in one place at a time but also cause them to depend on the Europeans for their necessaries.
