What is more, these factors I told as my first reason all caused a very serious problem which is my second reason for my stand—under this education system, students have few spare times to do what they like to do, to learn something else or do some sports, it caused many problems. For example, because Chinese students spend most of time at school and after school they still have homework to do, they nearly have time to do sports; so, their physical quality is not good. It manifests in respects that the percentage of over-weight and fat people is increasing and more and more students show diminution of vision. And even some of university students fell in a faint and fell ill during the military training because their physical quality is bad.

Because China has 13 million people, it seems that college entrance examination become the only way to select people. For Chinese students, when they start going to school, they are told to study hard to go to university. So, many students, teachers and parents focus on the grades but ignored something else. In school, some students which poor at studying may suffer from unfair treatments, for example, in some school teacher will arrange the seat for students according to their grades. It means that the students who got higher scores will seat closer to teacher so that they can listen to teacher more clearly, because in China, normally, one classroom may have 30-40 students or even more. So, the seat is very important for students. This condition also happed in my high school, when we closer to our college entrance examination, after every exam, teacher will arrange our seat like this. It is really embarrassing and may cause students self-abased, does not favor the physical and moral integrity. As I said, for most Chinese students, the only purpose for studying is go to a good college, they have struggled for years to go to college but after they get into college they just become very lazy. For Chinese students, the college seems became a place where they can have fun without any constraints. It is totally different from American college or others countries’ college. The college in these countries, such as American, it is easy to go to but hard to graduate while the college in China is hard to get in but easy to graduate. As a result of this condition, few Chinese students can really learn something in college, it not means the problems are come from teachers but is students do not want to learn. Chinese students always studying under their teachers’ oversight and direction, it let their self-control is very poor. Once without these oversights, students will become lazy, because Chinese students already adapted teachers “force” them to study and ask them what to do, they just need to follow and practice. But college is different, the most important thing in college is control yourself and control your time.
