I have always wanted to be in medicine since I was little. When I was a young child, I told my Pediatrician that I wanted to be just like her. Since that time, I have always known that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field where I can give help to those who need it. Determining which medical career path to take has been a difficult decision. I have never once strayed from the medical profession; however, deciding which role in the medical field was best for me has been the more challenging aspect. When I was a student in high school, I wanted to pursue a career as a nurse and eventually nurse practitioner. As I progressed in my education my aspirations changed, and I decided a bachelor’s degree in biology with future aspirations of becoming a physician was the best path for me.
