The American Heart Association stated that being physically active improves your overall physical and mental wellness. Because exercise increases the flow of oxygen which directly affects the brain, your mental acuity and memory can be improved with physical activity. Participating in moderate exercise, such as brisk walking, for 30 minutes daily can provide you with health benefits. Including improving blood circulation, which reduces the risk of heart disease, improving blood cholesterol levels, prevents and manages high blood pressure, boosts energy level, helps manage stress, helps you fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly, reduces coronary heart disease in women by 30-40 percent, and reduces risk of stroke (“Physical Activity Improves Quality of Living”). While camping you have opportunities to get those 30 minutes of moderate exercise. Getting physical activity and exercising is one of the best and most fun parts of camping. When my family and I go camping we go on hikes and sometimes we go canoeing, if there is a lake. Going on hikes you get to see the beauty of the world, the green trees, maybe some national monuments, or cool rock formations. Yes, there are other ways to get away from technology, relax, and to get exercise then going camping. But while camping, for the most part, you don't have service or Internet connection helping you to get completely away from it. Yes, there loads of other ways to get exercise besides the activities that can done while camping, but the best part is being in the outdoors. Having the beautiful surrounds and the fresh air is much more enjoyable then running on a treadmill in a stuffy gym with a people all around you that you do not
