People can sometimes act through how they feel rather than what is very logical. In the short story Gregory, an English prisoner named Gregory forms a friendship with a guard in an army base camp in Cyprus. At the ending, Gregory is executed by the guard despite the opportunities he is given to escape.In the story, the concept of passion versus logic is effectively represented with its characters showing more belief in their feelings than their intelligence through what they do. As time passes, humans have managed to think more logically than emotionally.
