Research can be seen as an orderly approach to investigate a subject matter for the purpose of obtaining and adding new knowledge (Ross, 2005 Ed). Research in education, is very dynamic because of the change we experienced in the 21st century classroom. “The movement of people and the transition of culture and language to the classroom and how we deal with it are answer through the use of researches” (Opie, 2003). The paradigm shift in the job market to a more technological advance environment the school is currently place on test to meet these challenges, but preparing it student for the world of work. Action research also provides opportunities for the practitioner to explore “practical problems” plan and evaluate results of the study .Action research generally “target members of the school community” (Glickman, Gordon & Ross- Gordon, pg 385). On the other hand, traditional research is generally led by outside “educational experts” and the general propose is to develop “new knowledge” (Glickman, Gordon & Ross- Gordon). The data obtained from a traditional research is either “qualitative or quantitative” in nature (Dana & Yenol- Hoppey). The data gather is analyzed to provide the researcher with a better understanding of the “phenomenon” and to also “test and develop hypotheses” (Glickman, Gordon & Ross- Gordon). The traditional research allows for a “peer review of methods and results” (Dana & Yenol- Hoppey). The audience of the traditional research is wider than the action researcher and my include stake holder and other researchers (Dana & Yenol- Hoppey, 2009; Glickman, Gordon & Ross- Gordon 2010). It can be seen that the action researcher is more classroom oriented than the traditional researcher. The actions research provides an immediate answer to problem in the classroom while the traditional research does not benefit the target audience immediately.
