There is nothing else I can say. I apologize deeply. My actions were wrong I should not have laughed at you, or at the other teachers. Once again there was no humor in what you had to say.

The punishment you gave us is ridiculous. This essay is all right, but the suspension, is not the right thing to do. There are kids that vandalize school property and skip class, and there punishment is minor. All they have is ISS or a 3/5. Were getting suspended if we don’t write an essay.

I admit that it was wrong to laugh at you, I apologize for that. But, the punishment is ridiculous. I’m very sorry for my actions. And I promise that I will never act that way ever again.

The Socratic practice, as presented in The Apology through Socrates’s explanation of it and his way of implementing it, relies on its implementer being perceived as truthful and disinterested in wealth, while simultaneously questioning the perceived knowledge amongst individuals of authority. My AP Literature teacher, Mr. Mercer, once asked my class a serious question: why do women apologize so much? A thoughtful pause followed while the class, females especially, pondered the answer. My teacher elaborated with a short anecdote about a female student from a previous class: Mr. Mercer was standing in front of the doorway before class, speaking with another student. The female student approached the doorway so Mr. Mercer and the student courteously moved out of the way. The female student nodded and uttered a quick “sorry” as she hustled past them.…

It is 3 am in the morning and I can not believe that I ended up here. The Nazi police are all surrounding me with their guns loaded aiming for me. It does not seem real, but they actually caught me. I held the soft, velvet fur coat in my freezing hands, I did not know what to say or do. “Miep Gies, you are going to be taken in for questioning,” spoke the Nazi man who wore a dark green outfit from head to toe.…

“I’m sorry.” Two simple words that can be articulated to mean a number of different things. Two words that, unfortunately, we have been exposed to our entire lives. Two words that are perceived as a good thing, yet in all reality symbolize the acknowledgment of unacceptable acts. When these two words are strung together to create a sentence that will invariably be answered with a quick “It’s okay”, it is easy to assess what has just happened.…
