Animal Farm Short Story

It is the hardest time for “Animal Farm”. In the cold winter, they are building the windmill with thicker walls than before, but they do not have enough food. The inspiration for all animals is Boxer who works very hard. Napoleon and other pigs have a power to command animals, whatever they want. They tell others that all the bad things, which happened in the farm, did Snowball. One day Napoleon orders gathering all the animals in the yard and he punishes by killing all the animals who are in contact with Snowball or who does not like leadership in the farm. The animals are afraid because they have never seen this kind of violence after Mr. Jones left the farm. After the big violence animals start to sing “Beasts of England”, but Squealer interrupts …show more content…
Boxer works harder than before. Clover and Benjamin try to convince him that the horse 's lungs do not last for a long time, but he wants to finish the windmill until the retirement. The farm has a hard time, the animals do not have enough food. Only pigs live very well, they have a lot of young pigs and Napoleon is the father of all of them. Squealer announces that they should open school for the young pigs ' education and the animals start to gather resources for building the school in the farm. The animals have demonstrations every week, to celebrate the struggles and triumphs of Animal Farm. During this hard time Boxer gets very bad, he has the lung problem and cannot move anymore. Squealer promises to take care of Boxer, but in fact pigs have sent him to the horse slaughter. The animals are afraid in the beginning, but finally Squealer explained them that Boxer isn’t taken in the knack, he died in the hospital and his last words were “Napoleon is always right”. Nobody remembers the old time before the rebellion. They have the windmill and new technologies to harvest. The Animal Farm has grown richer and well organized, without making the animals richer. One day the pigs start to walk on two legs and the seven commandments change: “four legs good, two legs better”. Also, the pigs change the equality commandment and write on the wall, “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”. In the end pigs has a party with other farm owners. They drink and say toasts. The neighbors admire pigs’ management style.
