Most students play video games on school nights, rather than getting started on homework that was assigned to them by their teacher or professor. The student can end up forgetting to review the material and the assignment. Which could cause the students grades to slip. Rather than picking up a controller, students should pick up a pencil and get to work.
After my mother passed away I had to live my grandmother. My grandmother is a perfectionist, especially when it comes to grades. At the time I was still upset about my mother’s passing, so the only thing that would make me happy was to play Sims 3. But my 12 grade year was the pinnacle of my success. Effortlessly I made all A’s and B’s in addition to having two classes each semester at Tri-County. Anytime I received an assignment, I get started on it as soon as I get home, because if I did not I may take a nap which will take the rest of the afternoon and binge watch whatever TV shows on Netflix. So rather than laying my head on what I believe is the softest pillow in the world, after school/classes I immediately grab a pencil and get my work done.
Priorities were completely out of whack. I practically have to drill any information that I receive in any and all classes in my brain so that I will not have to worry about getting a bad grade. My grades are now stable, and I get awarded by my mother and the school. because of my poor decisions or my lack of care in ninth grade and 10th grade my GPA is suffering. I practically have to make all A’s in 12th grade to have a decent GPA. And since I did not pay attention in algebra, anytime that I take a standardized test I get everything algebraic wrong.
