There are many reasons to why people are starting to prefer American made items over imported goods. It seems that many individuals are increasingly going out of their way to purchase items, mainly, clothing that has the label of “Made in America”. The question is why is this trend becoming so popular? Could the reasons be, because of quality and a certain class that can afford these items? Or is it because of jobs coming to America?. Or is it having pride in America? No matter the case, the fact is American made products are becoming more important and popular in the people of the U.S.A.. One factor that could be causing this increasing trend is that people are realizing, that buying American is creating American jobs. In a article on “Why Buy American?” by a company supporting made in U.S.A. products and job opportunities it claims “If every American spent an extra $3.33 on U.S.-made it would create almost 10,000 new jobs. And, if every builder used just 5 percent more U.S.-made products, it would create 220,000 jobs”(made in U.S.A.). This goes back to a possible cause of this trend. Another question that comes up is, is it just the American people wanting American made products? The president for international, wholesale and manufacturing at Brooks Brothers Paulette Garofalo says “Made in the U.S.A. label has indeed become chic in the eyes of well heeled consumers but not just in the United States, but also in Asia. This has led Brooks Brothers to increase production in three American factories to meet growing demand”(Williams). This not only helps the company grow, but it also helps to create jobs in
