What makes a brand worthy? Good question. Having to sit down and think of a brand that I define as great would have probably been a challenging task about five years ago, but today it seems pretty evident. It is the brand, that I think about eighty percent of the time when I consider buying a new product. How has it been able to get so ingrained in my system? I do not remember the first time I purchased something off of Amazon, so I guess you can say I have been acquainted with it for quite some time now. It allowed me to receive what I was looking for, in a matter of a few clicks. But let us be honest, that is not the reason why I am sitting here writing about the brand, because how would that make Amazon any different than every other online retailer, right? It gave me more than just the product requested; things I did not necessarily asked for but it wanted to give me regardless, because it knew I would appreciate it, and it was right. I love the customer reviews and how Amazon allows its reviewers to add pictures for me to view the product in a more “realistic” setting. I appreciate how it added a section of “answered questions” for me to go to, in case I would like to know more about the product at hand. Even though Amazon does not always offer the lowest prices, people continue to purchase from them because of the trust and affinity they have towards the brand. Unlike Amazon, I do not believe that American Airlines has many fans, but has customers that see their purchase as a one-time deal each time. In order to be seen as a “great” brand, American Airlines should shift its focus to its customer’s needs and work on providing a quality of service that will attract and create a loyal fan
