Not only was seeing the kids in this environment very eye-opening and wonderful, but I also enjoyed talking with a learning from the teachers from this school. The kids really provided an amazing environment for us to visit and interact with them, and the teachers were just as opening. They explained every activity they were doing with the kids to us, and the teachers provided us with a lot of information regarding specific policies and protocols they need to follow for the school regarding what is best for the children in their classroom. Being able to observe and interact in this type of environment was such a positively meaningful experiences, and I do not know if I learned more from the kids or the teachers. The teachers were full of information regarding everything from why they go to the bathroom in a certain way, why and how long they do certain activities, the different protocols they must follow and meet, as well as how to interact and engage with the children in the best way. The children in the classroom were also very educational, but not as directly as the teachers. I learned a lot just from observing and interacting with the children in their classroom. I learned that even if when they all speak English in different degrees of accuracy, they are able to communicate, play, learn, and interact with each other successfully. I also learned that no matter what type of place these kids come from, they all love to learn and enjoy being at school surrounded by their friends and teachers. The whole community around the school was also very cool to see because the entire school environment was very open and supportive of each other, and everyone knows everyone, and I really liked to see that. I was really shown that when a teacher from a classroom that no ISU students were in came to the classroom I was in and was talking with us. It was really nice to get a sense of community and information from many different
