On the date july 16, 1969 close to a one million people poured into the Cape kennedy where they watched the United States send their first people to the moon. Armstrong attended college and served in the korean war. Aldrin was born January 20, 1930 in Glen Ridge New Jersey. His real name is Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr but his sister mispronounced brother and buzzer and his family shorten it for Buzz. “His father, a colonel in the U.S. Air Force, encouraged his interest in flight.
