The Importance Of Home Ownership In Brazil

Brazilians are demanding more - When selling duvet covers to the people and industries of Brazil, the main target will be to concentrate on two specific areas; the hotel industry and the middle to upper class home owners. As of the last two to three years, home owners have had an increasing disposable income and special governmental programs such as “Minha Casa Minha Vida” (“My House, My Life”) which has helped them increase their standard of living. Because of this, home ownership has increased rapidly in Brazil with a large number of Brazilians having access to property ownership for the first time (Novacich, 2011). Since people are purchasing more homes and have an increased disposable income, there is also an increase demand on household luxury goods. In 2013 the tourism and the hotel industry in Brazil reached a historic record of 6.1 million international arrivals, breaking the mark of five million tourist visitors a year that Brazil has had since 2005 ("Market Research for Brazil," 2014).
