Christian Abortion Essay

Abortion has been around for quit sometime now, and its support is only getting stronger. Advocates of abortion emphasize one’s ability to have the choice of whether that person wants to keep the baby or not. They believe that the person that was conceived is technically not a human being yet, and is a person once the mother has given birth to the child. Because they believe that the person they are aborting is not a human, it is then okay to end its life. They make arguments such as having the option of abortion will help victims of rape, incest, or if the person is just not ready to have a child. It is understandable for some to think having the option to not give birth to a child that was a result of rape. However, some people such as Christians believe that abortion is in fact wrong. Christians believe that the moment a person is conceived, it is in fact a human being. …show more content…
We would all want the ability to fix a wrong act once it occurs, but unfortunately that is not how life works. People who are pro-choice (abortionists) want the ability to fix a mistake without facing any consequences. The concept that one can just have unprotected sex without any ramification is what people who are pro-choice really want. However, just like what Galatians 6:7 says, and how one will reap the consequences of his or her actions. Sadly, people always try to find a way to bypass the effects of their actions. Everyone knows that raising a child takes a lot of responsibility, time, and costs money. When abortionists say that abortion is good for people like rape victims, it is a good argument. However, the majority of people who have an abortion are not rape victims. The main reason why people have an abortion is because that person feels as though they are not ready to raise a child. So when people who are pro-choice make the argument that abortion is great for rape victims, it only a

There are laws in place that require parental consent in order for a minor to get an abortion, but many feel that it is not enough. They argue that the psychological consequences of having an abortion at a young age are damaging and can negatively impact a teenager’s future development, both physically and mentally. Pro-life arguers generally carry the belief that a fetus is a person upon conception, and is therefore afforded the same rights that any other citizen has. They believe that a fetus is just as human as the rest of the population and deserves to live just as much as any other person does.…

According to the website guttmatcher.org, 40 million abortions are performed worldwide every year. Some mothers abort their child because it was a pregnancy result of rape. under this condition, I completely support the mother because it wasn’t her choice and the child would probably have psychological problems if he knew what happened. But a mother aborting her child because having a baby is not in her favor is totally…

Rape is not necessarily the only instance where abortion is better for both beings. Take a drug addict for example, the woman may not be able to stop her addiction at the moment in time she is pregnant, and would be much safer for the embryo to be aborted. If she is forced into giving birth, the likelihood that the quality of life will be good for the child is slim to none. The child may face neglect and even gradual death rather than if the fetus was terminated at an appropriate time.…

It does not matter in what way a child is conceived, but once the baby is conceived, killing that life will always be unjustifiable and immoral. That doesn’t mean that mother is responsible for raising that child and keeping the baby, but it does mean she is responsible for sticking through with the pregnancy and giving birth to that baby. “Rape babies” have just as much of a right to live as any other human being. They have done nothing wrong and are completely…

I believe that abortion as a form of birth control due to careless sex is never correct, and abortion should always be a last resort. I believe that abortion may be moral depending on the scenario, and one cannot simply view the morality of abortion as a black and white situation. So much grey area exists that each abortion needs to be approved on a case by case basis, rather than simply allowed or disallowed. Abortion in the case of a pregnancy that is caused by rape should be allowed. Similarly, abortion in the case of a pregnancy of an individual that is in an extreme low income scenario and cannot provide for the child should be allowed, only after the individual has been properly educated, and the option of adoption has been presented to the mother.…

It has been debated that it makes women feel like they have a choice in the matter but throughout the years this has left the father of the child without choice, and left the baby without a choice. killing babies and taking them from their fathers without a choice is wrong in my eyes and i also believe this to be murder and should be treated as such because for one you're still killing a person just that person doesn't have a voice of its own to speak up with. These children you're killing just because you don't want to take responsibility for not keeping your legs closed is almost childlike and very upsetting to those of us who think all people should have a chance to live life the only time that this inhuman service should be allowed is to rape victims because just like the child has no choice neither did she and just like i believe the baby should have a choice i think rape victims should to since they were forced to conceive a child but if you weren't forced to have intercourse then you shouldn't be allowed this choice you should be forced to take care of the child, but i do believe that women should have the choice at the age of being able to conceive whether or not they want their tubes tied if they decide not to and get pregnant then they should be forced to take responsibility for their actions and not allowed thee option of an abortion. Honestly in my own opinion i feel that abortions are just a way for a women to be able to have more than just the interactions she had leading up to the pregnancy and by aborting their child and their responsibilities they are able to do it even more times without anything stopping them….…

Besides the effects that it could have on the mother there are several moral reasons against abortion. Many do not believe that the baby is a baby until it is born, and so they do not believe that an abortion is wrong or that it is killing a baby. Most people who believe this are not Christians either and have no moral reason or any higher being that says it is wrong. And although they don’t believe this it is true and God says that abortions are wrong and that a baby is a baby at the point of conception.…

Before I make my case, I have to point out that less than 1% of abortions occur because of rape or incest. (insert statistics) Pro-choice proponents will typically give the following scenario to describe what a fetus is doing to an unwilling mother in order to justify killing it. Imagine that you are drugged and kidnapped. You wake up to find yourself with a bunch of tubes connected to your body.…

One reason abortion is a social issue is because people don’t know whether it should be either illegalized or legalized everywhere. Tom Anderson says,” if abortions become illegalized then it will have a significant impact on women and would cause society to become like the third world. ”(Anderson,3) Which he describes as a place where the population suffers from poverty, malnutrition, treatable disease, poor health care, unemployment and lastly a place where women feel little empowerment concerning their reproductive lives. If a female decides that she does not want to carry a pregnancy to term, that is her prerogative. It is a decision that will solely affect her life, so she she be the one to make it. Some women are raped, resulting in a pregnancy. Pro-Life advocates argue that the resulted fetus should not be aborted because it is innocent and aborting it will be punishment, however, they do not put into consideration the women’s emotional and mental state. Another reason women get abortions, is if there is something medically wrong with the fetus.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

A woman will have to decide for herself, based on what she believes in, how her life will be with those beliefs, and who she will integrate with her decision. Abortion is not a choice for everyone, however for Pro-choice supporters is the right decision whether it is for convenience or to a woman who was a rape victim and wanted to end the pregnancy. It seems like an easy fix to a life problem that you can 't solve by yourself. If you start thinking about what will happen if abortions were made illegal, consequently a number of women will become injured or sterile as a result of the procedure. People will think that giving the child up for adoption could be the solution but in most cases, this can be very emotionally damaging for the child 's mother.…

An abortion can prevent the mother from dying from those complications. Many pro-life people say there are a lot of women who have had a pregnancy and regret it.
