The Bible specifically defines our creator and the value in which he placed on human life. Additionally, the value not only comes from how we were created but who we were created after, God’s own image. If a person does not believe God personally creates them in His image, then a person cannot fully realize how unique and special they really are. God, our Creator, created man differently than any other creation. As He created the heavens, earth and all living things, He spoke them into existence. However, when God made man, He put his fingerprint, literally, as he formed humanity from the dust and breathed His life into them. When people do not know or refuse to believe God himself uniquely and creatively made them, it is easy for them to overlook their identity. The raising of a generation of children not to understand who they really are has created as society of disillusion and lost identity; self-identity can only come when we truly understand our Creator. The truth about identity lies in Romans 8:14 as it states those who accept God are truly adopted and forever will be a child of God. This lack of truth and/or disregard has unleashed the ugliness of drug abuse, self-mutilation, depression, depreciation of human life and suicide. God created people as relational beings. Marriage is to be between a male and female; relationships between the same sex are not natural nor condoned by God. Paul infers this relational need in chapter one speaking about the fall of man. “26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts.
