Introduction

Many people in the world today believe that there is no real connection between the Bible and the government of the United States. However, according the website, Biblical Principles of Government (<a href="http://www.intouchmission.org/biblical_principles">http://www.intouchmission.org/biblical_principles</a>

_government.htm), theologians have discovered that while approximately 29% of the Bible deals with our personal lives, 71% deals with social, political and national issues. The main areas of focus in the Biblical view of government are explained in 2 ways, by the biblical institutions of Government and by the foundations of Biblical Government. This is because of that individual's belief, which may not be the same as someone else's. God provides numerous examples of morals that one should uphold to in order to maintain order and peace all over the world. Non-believers are inclined to look to what they think is right rather than what the Lord says is right. Galatians 4:3 states, "So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world." (This quote explains that when people don't know the Lord, they turn to the principles of the world, as a substitute of the principles of God.)

B) Family Government is described as laws, or rules, that one abides by and goes by in a household. Parents are the authority in the household and it is their duty to set standard boundaries for their children. In the Bible, the book of Ephesians states, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." (Ephesians 6:1). Parents who set boundaries in their home are more likely to have control over what their children do. It is also the parents duty to set rules in the house that God has set in the Bible, so that children know their limits.

C) Church Government is something along the lines of what the pastor preaches about. For example: Raising sexually pure children, or not allowing kids to see rated R movies. On Sundays, a pastor will usually preach on topics that touch on the church's beliefs of…
