These pellets where used for after killing rats and insects, but soon later on in the Holocaust, it was used for to kill people. This highly poisonous insecticide would cut off the oxygen to those in the gas chambers. These small tiny pellets killed/suffocated millions of jews and thousands of others. It would suffocate the victims inside the gas chambers with its harmful gas. Adding to that, most say once doors were opened for newcomers came it would give off a bad odor. To speed the process up, when some new it was going to suffocate them, that sang so it would suffocate them quicker and instead of struggling much harder than before. The only thing was when you go into a concentration camp, and you were old, sick, too young, or just didn’t look good, you would be walked and had to undress to get into the “showers”. Concentration Camps called the gas chambers “showers” so others would think they were just being cleaned off when really they were being sent to their death. But how it all starts off is, jews and non-jews would get undressed. Some would even take off their jewelry since they thought it was a shower the might get their stuff back, others kept it on because most Nazi’s were not to be trusted. Soon all the naked people would have to go inside the gas chambers, then he door would be shut airtight. The it would take about 10 to 20 minutes for the gas to go into the chamber and suffocate people, then within 10 to 15 minutes all whom was inside the chamber would be dead. Once everyone in the chamber was dead Nazi’s would go inside and take the jewelry off of women and

As stated before, it has also been used as a chemical weapon as well. World War I is a great example of chemical warfare. The Germans were the first ones to use it against enemy forces; because of the density of chlorine, it was an effective weapon against dug-in trenches. Although, it didn’t take long for their enemies to wear gas masks to protect themselves from the German chemical attacks. Just recently, Operation Iraqi Freedom, chlorine attacks reappeared more frequently.…

A crematorium is a machine that burns people’s body or remains to bones. The Nazis would use this just as much as they use gas chambers. In Auschwitz they had four crematoriums. They would burn these people alive, until they were nothing but ash and bones. With the gas chambers and the crematorium about 4,400 people died a day just from these two things, not including the people that were shot for no reason, the ones who died for no reason, and the ones that were starved.…

Even though some people believe that Agent Orange helped to prevent communist domination of South Vietnam. I believe that Agent Orange should not have been used because of the side effects it has on Vietnam Veterans now. Vietnam claims half a million children have been born with serious birth defects, and three million Vietnamese have suffered health-related problems from exposure to Agent Orange.…

Starvation was how most of the prisoners would die because they were only fed enough to keep them alive and not having enough nutrients caused them to have starvation illnesses. To use it on humans, shows the disregard for the Jews, as they were seen as pests, and that they were filled with disease. Everyone was soaked in the disinfectant. The weaponry of World War I proclaimed the dawning of a new era of human conflict. The days of honorable combat were replaced with weapons of mass casualties such as machine guns and explosives of catastrophic proportions. But these tools of death paled in comparison to the horrors of chemical warfare. Poison gases removed the enemy, replacing him with a faceless horror that more resembled the superstitions and ghosts of the Dark Ages than the newest scientific advantages of the 20th century. From the personal accounts surrounding the first gas attack of World War I and subsequent relevant studies, it is evident that chemical weapons were far more lethal psychologically than physically.…

The gas was released either by thrown canisters or shot out towards the enemy, but it was most commonly used in canisters. After the war the gas became rather ineffective towards well equipped and trained troops. However it took an estimated 1.3 million deaths from mustard gas for generals to adapt strategy and scientists to adapt equipment effective against it. One of the immediate effects of this gas was the cylindrical gas mask to be invented in1915, by James B. Garner. This mask, along with effective training, would render mustard gas obsolete later on, but not until after 1.3 million people had suffered from its excruciating pain.…
