Zumbathon Fundraiser: A Case Study

Decent Essays
Thank you for considering Oasis as the venue for the Zumbathon Fundraiser. As fitness and health instructors, we are dedicated to bringing health awareness to our community.

On December 29, the day of your event, we will be hosting a variety of trial Yoga and Pilates’ classes as a jump start for our new fitness program. Our facility will be booked for that day. However, Oasis would be more than willing to accommodate the Zumbathon Fundraiser on another date.

An alternative venue would be Yoga World. I recently spoke with Tiernie Clagett, the Owner, who expressed that she would like to begin working with more non-profit organizations. Her studio has the necessary space to host your event. Her phone number is (808) 123-4567.

In the book Inside Out and Back Again, and in the article “World of Difference Benefit Luncheon”, Ha and her family, and Gurung both show the same struggles and challenges of feeling inside out while fleeing and finding home. If they wanted to fit in with the other people, they had to risked many things, speak and learn a new language, and practice a different religion and culture, for instance, “I’m furious unable to explain… I hate, hate, hate it.” (156) After fleeing Saigon, Ha can not speak their language but she understands the things they’re doing because she’s already passed all of those back in Saigon. But since the teachers thinks Ha doesn’t know anything they were doing, it made Har feel like she wasn’t smart. In the article, Gurung…

The event that I decided to go was BYU Baroque Ensemble, a production made by BYU students, taking place at Madsen Recital Hall Harris Fine Arts Center on November 3. The idea of making a baroque orchestra is where musician get together to make a perfect composition of music, the baroque orchestra is made up mostly of stringed instruments, when you listen you feel something different that makes you see it from another perspective, you just can’t stop listening and focus on every note that the musicians are playing. The type of instruments that were utilized in conjunction were the basso continuo, played by a viol, cello or bassoon. Other parts were added between the melody and the bass by a keyboard instrument, usually a harpsichord or organ and the development of tonal harmony, in which the melodic voices movement remains under the functional chord progression.…

I earned my first leadership role at the age of two. At that age, I became my sister’s role model. It was up to me to teach her the tricks of the trade for everything-- from tying her shoes to studying for her first math test. Although I didn’t have any designated leadership positions during my early years of high school, it was the similarly intimate, accidental moments of leadership that colored my participation in my extracurriculars.…

What do you consider to be your most meaningful contribution to Colleges Against Cancer during the 2015-16 year? I think I consider my participation in Relay for Life event as the most meaningful contribution that I have made to Colleges Against Cancer during the school year. I was not able to attend Tuesday meetings especially on winter quarter because of a job I had that needed me on Tuesday nights. However, this did not hinder me to constantly communicate to my other committee members. When time permitted this spring, I actively participated during Tuesday meetings, some of the flyering weeks, the production for Relay props, and the event itself.…

Around the time I visited, the seniors are having their weekly ballroom extravaganza in which couples and willing participants ages 60 and up are dressed in their ballroom outfits. They have their friends, husband, and wives dancing to different types of ballroom dances such as cha-cha, waltz, foxtrot, merengue, Chinese jitter, and samba. The women were wearing colorful and glittery-dancing outfits while the men were wearing their dress pants and dancing shoes. It seemed like everyone was having fun and socializing.…
