This is a company that started out with 44 skirts and is now producing over 2.1 million items in a week! While that all sounds great, the question is are they missing a few important issues? Is the quality of this product as good as it should be for the hype? The process of selling, are independent consultants the right direction to be taking for the company? Zulily’s target customer Zulily’s target customers are young mothers who would like to purchase items for their children or for themselves. The founders of Zulily, Daren Cavens and Mark Vadon, wanted to create a business targeting young mothers because there was a large market for new moms, which was untouched by other retailers. They figured if they could compete against Tiffany & Co and undermine them with their old business, they could do something similar with an online store focusing on children’s apparel.…
