Hello, this is Jessica with another blog on Blank. Today it's zombies, just because it's not really everyday you see them and anime or that I'm obsessing over right now. But let's begin:

Zombies aren't really shown much in anime, just because it really does not follow into any Japanese myths or traditions. Although they are much more popular in the West, such as the ever-so-popular The Walking Dead tv series. But as for some zombie anime, they are portrayed more differently. However I'm going to try to avoid some pretty well-known anime.

Contract:
Zombie-Loan follows a high school girl named Michiru Kita with Shinigami eyes, enabling her to see whose life is going to end. She desires a peaceful life, disliking this power until looking at the lifespan of two of her classmates, Chika Akatsuki and Shito Tachibana. They were already dead, but brought back to life by a contract, Zombie-Loan, where they hunt down zombies. As soon as discovering Michiru's ability, they come in contact with her for this use.

But left behind grave keepers as a final gift, one of them is a twelve-year-old girl named Ai who was one in a village. One day she meets an immortal gunslinger, Hampnie Hambart, and he starts to make her change her views after killing the rest of the village. This is more of an anime that makes you question on life and death, even God itself that has earned me on my favorite anime.

Within the past decade, zombie movies have become a fad. It all began with the original Night of the Living Dead and cruised into the more current ones like World War Z and The Walking Dead. A Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse is a movie about 3 high school scouts who plan an adventurous night out camping. From their dead eyes to their rotting bodies, the image of the zombie has become an icon in today’s society. Surpassing other horror characters, zombies over the years have become prevalent across a multitude of medias and genres. Although these brain-eating creatures are a work of fiction, author Chuck Klosterman argues that the life of the zombie apocalypse does not stray as far away from today’s society as some would think. Through his essay, My Zombie, Myself, Klosterman discusses the prevalence of zombies in media today through rhetorical devices such as allusions, anecdotes, and figurative language in order to convey that the human way of life is becoming more akin to that of a zombie’s. Klosterman begins his essay utilizing multiple…
