Zombie Mike Trailer Analysis

The Zombie Mike movie was in need of a poster, just as good as itself. We received many entries but we must only choose one. Entry number one, congratulations. We chose number one out of many different categories but three of them stood out the most, and now we will be discussing them. One of the reasons entry one, won the contest was because of how the artist used contrast. I liked how the poster has a bright green back ground that gradually grows darker around the edges and forms a head with a bite missing out of it. it really helps draw your eyes to the center of the poster. To continue on, one principal the artist used was emphasis. The title is perfect with the cross hair meeting points. The placement of the title and it allows you to see the title first. The right below the title is the dark head with the bright red tagline helps you notice that and the title as well. …show more content…
I loved how the black contrasted with the green. It really helps the white title pop out along with the bright red heart that dots the I. I also enjoyed how they used the same red for the heart that dots the I in Mike, they did an excellent job with their color usage.
So these are just some of the many reason why entry number one should win the contest. Because the artist use of color, contrast and emphasis was

This painting has a lot of bright colors, and a vast amount of things going on. There are angels, jesus, drag queens, peace signs, etc.…

I chose to do my book trailer for a public library, Bruce Public Library. My book trailer is on Kelley Armstrong’s first book in the Cainsville series, Omens. When I was trying to figure out what book I wanted to do my trailer on, I made a massive list of all the books I read that teens might like to read. Then I went through the list and watched book trailers for each of them, slowly narrowing down my list. I crossed off books that didn’t have any trailers I liked and books that I couldn’t come up with a plan for their book trailers.…

My first impression when I viewed Mouth (for L'Oréal), New York, by Irving Penn, was wow, it’s so beautiful and colorful. When you look at this picture, you see a person’s lips with several different lipstick colors on them. The subject of this painting is obviously the lipstick, the colors in the pictures are different shades of red, purple, pink and brown, they are the focus point. The lipstick makes texture on the lips, creating a beautiful three-dimensional effect. I see several lines in this picture, mostly curved lines, there are no definite lines and the forms I see are basically the lips, nose and lipstick.…

The painting I chose was Frank Stella’s “Flin Flon VIII”. It is an acrylic piece on canvas characterized by a mixture of curving and straight lines that interlock, vibrant colors, and an emphasis on the circle in the middle of the canvas. A huge quantity of negative space is present in the painting and the painting emits a smooth texture. The painting is one hundred and eight inches squared, making it one of the largest paintings in the San Diego Art Museum. Its size projects itself on the viewer overwhelming them with its color and size.…
