It is becoming vital to prepare for this impending crisis of a zombie apocalypse. Establishing a plan for survival in a zombie apocalypse can vary depending on the person’s primary needs, but it is necessary to be informed of, and also understand the fundamentals. In the circumstance of the walking dead obtaining food and water, gathering weapons, and finding shelter are all crucial to survive.
First and foremost, Food is vital for overall health and necessary for providing vigorous energy needed to withstand through a zombie apocalypse. While planning and choosing various foods for the horrifying event, think about the proteins. Canned foods are one of the top items to consider when packing for food storage. Canned tuna, salmon, chicken, and turkey generally last at least two years in the pantry, all providing essential protein. Canned vegetables, such as green beans, carrots, and peas are also great to have due to the important nutrients they offer. Canned foods are the ideal foods because they are already ready-to-eat and pre-cooked. It is important to stock up on only nonperishable foods, as they will last the longest.

It is an absolute necessity to have plenty of bottled water on hand to avoid dehydration. A person can survive for nearly a month without food but will die after three days without water. So make sure to pack a sufficient amount of water, at least a three-day supply. Sports drinks, such as Gatorade or PowerAde are also excellent liquids to consume to restore energy. The electrolytes and carbohydrates in these drinks will help people rehydrate and replenish fluid when water is scarce.
