Research Paper On Zolushka

There are only about 500 Amur tigers left in the wild. One of these endangered Amur tigers, Zolushka, which means Cinderella in Russian, gave birth to two cubs, that doubled the parks population. Zolushka is named after cinderella because she is an orphan. She lost her own mother when she was just four months old. Soon after two curious hunters found her alone in Russia, likely orphaned by poachers. She was starving and had frostbite, so the two hunters took her to a wildlife department. She had a third of her frostbitten tail amputated in the medical center of the wildlife department (Mclendon).
While Zolushka was at the wildlife department, they tried to give her live prey without letting her see that the people from the department backstage. Her attempts to catch her food were “like a kid trying to figure out a puzzle” according to her caretakers, but she eventually got it. After months of rehab, she finally got released into the forest of Bastak (Mclendon).
A few years later in the year of 2015, Zolushka had her cubs at the age of four which is normal for a female Amur tiger. She has been catching plenty of prey for her and her cubs, alongside Zavetny the father of the tiger cubs, in their 150 square miles (400 square …show more content…
They help animals by protecting them and making sure that there are laws to help keep them and the land safe. The organization is important to all of wildlife and helps to keep it safe, and since the organization uses science, it helps our knowledge grow, and helps us learn more about wildlife So that we will know how to protect it. The Wildlife Conservation Society is important and is needed by many animals that are injured or endangered. The land needs WCS to protect it by other people that want to ruin it. WCS helps them by using science to help the endangered or they donate money to help
