Last fall, Zoey Jones sat in the Nicholls Mass Communications’ office and contemplated changing her major. Now, she works as the Public Relations Specialist for one of the Top Five Wealthiest Hip Hop artists in the world.
Twenty-one-year-old Zoey had only two semesters till she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Jones related how she spent countless nights crying and questioning her degree and career path.
“It was a chance encounter that forever changed my life,” Jones said. “It was like fate intervened and I realized why I became a Mass Communications major.”
The perky, ambitious, charismatic young woman now works for three time Grammy Award winning artist Drake.
All because of a chance meeting with past PRSSA Chapter President, Jim Powell.
