Zizek mentioned that nature is taken for granted, people believe that trash disappears as to say out of sight out of mind. People now take human beings for granted by disrespecting one another or taking advantage of what we do for one another which ties back to what Zizek said about nature. Earth can get trashed and untaken care of and easily forgotten about what purity it brings to us. Going back to humanity, taking a person for granted as well ties up with religion, people follow their religious beliefs without questioning them so why not do the same with humans and nature, by treating them with care without questioning.
Some religions teach to love one another without exception, which is mostly not followed by modern day society. When turning on the news there are many times where murder is seen constantly or even abuse between family members, and that is not what loving each other is like. Going back to the documentary Zizek mentioned his belive on what love really is, he said something along the lines of real love is accepting a person with all of their flaws and seeing perfection in imperfection. This being said, no one is perfect, the world is not perfect but that does not mean we cannot give or show
