For many students, writing may be a beleaguered task, unsure of where to begin continue and end. However, with the application of Zinsser’s book, the troubles can be alleviated.
The first piece of advice is that “usage,...consists of using good words if they already exist...to express myself clearly and simply…”(Zinsser, 45). Therefore, to keep writing easily understandable and to ensure that each word has a deliberate and calculated meaning and impact on your work. With writing, specifically debate cases, it is easy to get caught up with length and facts that I may lose sight of what I am truly trying to say, and as a result, the paper becomes convoluted.
