Mosquitoes have been quite a nuisance for the longest time in the entire world. They’re quite annoying and bothersome. Most of the time, they start to fly around as you keep hearing those buzzing, irritating sounds from your ear. It’s so frustrating, you would do whatever it takes to kill those blood sucking varmints. Now, it seems their bites are getting more worse this year as the time goes by. The Aedes Mosquitoes are known to carry the Zika Virus disease and can be transmitted to other humans who are in contact with them.
A few common symptoms of the Zika Virus, are recognized if the patient has any sign of a fever, rash, joint pain, and/or red eyes. These kinds of symptoms can last about a week or so. The virus can last for several weeks or at least 1-2 months till the individual can no longer experience the effects of the mosquito-contracted disease. However, officials stated the Zika virus could be more fatal if patients aren’t recognizing the true motives of the virus.
Pregnant women are highly at risk in contracting the disease as they experience more symptoms because in pregnancy, the baby will be affected as well as the mother. …show more content…
Out of the bunch, 51 babies died due to the disease. Each of the babies who were affected by the disease, had a disorder called “Microcephaly”, a birth defect where a baby’s head is smaller than a regular baby. An infected baby’s head appears to be shrunken in size however, there have been many complications about it. A baby’s brain with Microcephaly hasn’t been developed properly due to the effects of the Zika Virus.
