Zika Virus In America

A virus is spreading through the western world, coming up from the south it sneaks over borders. It is a silent attacker infecting many without them even noticing until it is too late. Zika virus generates a major health concern for the United states, and the United States should take precautions to insure the safety of its people. Originally discovered in Africa Zika is a virus that has been known for a while now but just recently has become a danger to the United States and its citizens within its borders, “Zika is an emerging viral disease of the tropics transmitted by the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the same mosquito that transmits dengue and yellow fever. The illness resulting from Zika virus was previously considered mild and self-limiting. Even more alarming recent events have drawn people to the Zika hotspots in the American South with the Brazilian president taking action to try and eradicate the mosquitoes used to spread the virus, “A further concern is the effect of the Zika pandemic on the scheduled 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, said, "As long as the mosquito keeps reproducing, each and every one of us is losing the battle against the mosquito.
