The purpose of this paper is to find out where Zika is common and why. People want to find out what causes Zika to survive in these certain areas of the world. They also want to find out how we can avoid Zika, for the places that are prone to Zika and or have Zika. Zika plays a big role in our day to day process. Zika intimidates people, especially a couple ready to have a child, so It impacts humans a lot. We study it because it causes a newborn child to have defects when it is born. Zika makes an infant’s head smaller causing health defects, which is hard on the child and the parents caring for the child. It also affects people, in a way of worrying them. There have been various reports of a couple, about to have a child, staying inside because they are afraid of getting Zika. The man nor the woman leave the house which can affect their mental and physical health. The last reason we study Zika is because we want to avoid it or get rid of it. The reason I say avoid it is because I believe it would be hard to get fully rid of a virus. …show more content…
Based on various maps, anyone can see that Zika likes to move or survive in hot or warm areas. America, South America, Africa, and a lot other areas with Zika are all hot/warm. This is the problem we are trying to solve, but of course we can’t change the temperature of the area. So we could further “investigate” Aedes Aegypti to see what else their weaknesses are and how we can prevent them or kill them off. It is also shown that the Zika Virus survives the most in dirtier areas of the world. Also based on maps, It looks like the Zika Virus is most common in areas that have a lot of people. The Zika Virus has an impact on almost everything, from Human growth to environmental

Brazil has finally declared an end to the public health emergency over the Zika virus after a long 18 month outbreak that affected many citizens of Brazil (Press Associated). Zika, a disease that comes from mosquitoes, was never really considered a major threat to the world until an outbreak that started in 2015 showed that the virus can cause birth defects. One of these birth defects is microcephaly, which causes a baby to be born with a much smaller skull than expected. People became more concerned and aware after the disease was found out to be sexually transmitted (Press Associated). This caused more concern to the Brazilian people and the world.…

Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal to address the pressing issue of the ever spreading Zika Virus. The recent American outbreak of the widespread Zika epidemic has called for cautious measures to be taken in areas of high mosquito population. There have been several moments in the past few months where I would find myself swatting mosquitos, only to have those around me continuously warn me about Zika. The impact the virus has had on the general public has caused mild levels of hysteria across populations in the tri-state area. It is my understanding that UNICEF’s primary goals are to improve conditions until they are made suitable for children.…

When dangerous diseases like Ebola and the Zika virus infect large populations of people and become a threat to public health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) takes the lead on responding to them. Of most concern are pathogens that fall into the highest levels of containment – biosafety levels three and four – that are easily transimissable in the air with little to no treatment available (“Recognizing Biosafety Levels”). To fight against such threats, the CDC conducts critical research to “tracking disease and finding out what is making people sick and the most effective ways to prevent it” (“Mission, Role, and Pledge”). In recent news, however, federal agencies like the CDC are under scrutiny for not following standard…
