His farthest journey was to Mombasa, Kenya in Africa. (doc a) Zheng He never traveled to America, as he could have done more, if he sailed further. The Spaniards were the first people to visit America, 60 years after Zhen He. (background essay) He could have possibly gained more gifts and knowledge for China, if his country knew about the things available. Then, they would optimistically not have banned sea exploration. During Zheng He’s voyages, he got gifts and other forms of tribute from people who wanted to trade with China. Once Zheng He passed away, they banned sea exploration, and his fleet was disassembled.
