Zeros Are Inaccurate And Unmotivating Students

I agree, with Guskey, zeros are inaccurate and unmotivating for the students to receive. As student’s many of us have heard professors and teachers make this statement “everyone starts with A’’. However, the grade zero is very discouraging for student. Zeros make student’s feel that 100 is unreachable when starting at zero. As teacher’s we should motivate and support student’s.
Guskey, indicates that teacher should spend more time creating formative assessment for the student’s. The assessments should consist of: What is the objective? What is the student progress?
