Zelda Songs Analysis

When I was just a toddler, I would try to climb in the dishwasher and take everything out while mom was trying to do the dishes. In order to keep me from doing that, dad needed to play video games as long as they entranced me. One of the games he played was The Legend of Zelda. Growing up with this game and spending time with my dad while he played it fueled the love I developed for this game and it’s music. The first four songs on the soundtrack of my life, composed by Koji Kondo, are songs from that video game. The game and songs have become very sentimental to me for that reason.
The first song on my soundtrack is Zelda’s Lullaby. Zelda’s Lullaby is a soft, sweet little melody, just like me. The song portrays the innocence of my younger days. I have learned how to play it on the clarinet and I do so often. In the game, the song plays when Link meets Princess Zelda for the first time, and they are both children. Though a hint of evil is present when the bad guy, Ganondorf, is

The song is about how God’s number one rule is that he comes first, and he does not play second fiddle. I absolutely love it, because I needed that reminder at a low point in my life, and it truly helped me refocus myself. Furthermore, my Papa was a tremendous fan of the Gaithers, and it reminds me of him. Papa fought cancer and did not win, so this song has a special place in my heart.
The Coloring Song by Petra, another Christian band, is also very dear to me, but in other ways. It is about the colors of being a Christian, and I’ve loved it ever since I was little. Dad and I used to always listen to it together and try to sing it all the way through, which was difficult, since there never seemed to be any time to breathe. Some of my best memories of dad and I in his truck involve us laughing as we try to sing that whole song without breathing and him laughing at me as I didn’t sing the lyrics

Music is the essential, universal language. It expresses emotion, a story, and records a generation in history. In the classical and baroque era, music was written to tell a story and emphasize the emotion within that story. Fiesta Grande Reflection During my three years of being in band I have played many pieces of music, although my favorite has been a song called Fiesta Grande. I was given this song in the 7th grade. The point of learning to play this music piece was to play it for our concert in 7th grade although we didn't get the song completed in time so in 8th grade we played it for our winter concert. The song was energetic.…

You are undoubtedly one of the most distinguished composers of our time. One of your most applauded works Pirates of the Caribbean has amazed me and many others for years. You seem to effortlessly create superior character and style in all of your film scores specifically Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. In my opinion, Spirit is your most impassioned and moving composition. You developed a masterpiece that encompasses the determination for freedom and the grit of a champion that transcends all other works of art.…

Listening to the selections I found they all generally appeal to me though others have more of an immediate preference than others. A genuine love for music creates an appreciation for all genres. One can respect or acknowledge the environment from which it was produced, its purpose, and the skill of the musician(s). I particularly became fond of The Andrew Sisters after experiencing the song “The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. I recall hearing it from a television commercial vaguely, but it was a completely new thing to see and hear them perform it.…

Theme song I remember when my football coach showed me Don't Blink for the first time around 10-11 years old. At the time I was thinking it was a good song, but as the years start passing by the song started hitting me in personal ways. Life flashes right in front of you and it's like you don't even realize it until everything is gone. Life shouldn't be taken for granted, and should be fulfilled with everything you have ever wanted.…

Behind the curly hair, the spontaneous laugh, and the vivid imagination, something sparked a fire in my soul. Throughout my life I have felt so lost, like a pier soul trying to find something to attach itself to. I consequently tried to find my purpose in this world and find a passion that was worth embracing, but nonetheless I would fail. It was not until my freshman year of high school, when I finally got that indescribable feeling. I had found what to attach myself too, I had found myself within the music.…

The song that I chose was “Sea” by BTS. The song holds a lot of meaning, to not just me, but to a lot of people worldwide. I chose this song because it has a lot of hidden meaning behind it, more than what we can observe. I feel like I can connect with this song because the song talks about how to think positive when your having a hard time, and I tend to do that. One of the lines that I feel has the biggest impact on me is, “Even if I’m nervous, even if I’m in a desert / I’m in the beautiful Namib Desert” (21-22).…

This song talks about the speaker who is abused by her boyfriend but she stands by him because she loves him. This is similar to when we find out that Mayella was abused by her father but still loves him because well, it’s her father. They both show unhealthy relationships and how bad things can be at home. The mood in both of this song and the book is desperate. They are both desperate for love and will do anything to stay by their family/man.…

When it comes down to the songs that will play in the movie of my life, these songs would be dramatic. Every song would have a different meaning, and more attention, destruct and love in it than the last. There are certain songs that are more committed to a certain time or event that has happened. Some are due to it being the song we sang when at the time, some being the lyrics that stuck years later yet most are because of the feeling when the song is first heard. Going as far back that I can remember, most of the songs that I would hear would be on the car rides to school or camp.…
