On Thursday, 07/07/2016, at approximately 16:23 hours, I, Deputy Stacy Stark #1815 was requested by Corporal Shane Zeboski to assist him at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale emergency room because a 12 year old female was allegedly sexually assaulted and was willing to speak to a female officer.

I arrived at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale at approximately 16:41 hours. I met with Cpl. Zeboski in the emergency room. Cpl. Zeboski informed about his case. I entered the emergency exam room #19, where the victim, Brittany A. Wright (F/W, DOB: 02/13/2004), was located. Brittany was sitting on the hospital bed in a commonly referred sitting position called an indian sitting position. She had a hospital pillow across her lap. She was wearing

Brittany agreed by nodding her head, yes.

I learned the following from Brittany. Brittany said she was brought to the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale by her mother to complete a rape kit. Brittany said, “It was to find out the truth”. Brittany felt no one believed her. She said her mom or her aunt did not believe her. I asked Britany if she had been explained what a rape kit was. She said she was told about it. I asked her what happened at home. Brittany said with no embarrassment, “Sam grabbed my boobs, put his hand down my shorts, took off my clothes and had sex with me”. Sam was Brittany’s mother’s live-in boyfriend, Samuel H. Hansen (M/W, DOB: 12/03/1982). I asked Brittany who else was in the house during that time. She said her 7 years old brother, William, her cousin Tracy and her Aunt Alicia was across the street. The incident occurred in Sam’s bedroom. Brittany stated William and Tracy were going to give their small dog a bath, but their larger dog came into the bathroom and jumped in the water. Since the large dog got all wet, they decided to go ahead and give the large dog a bath. The small dog and the large dog do not get along. The large dog was trying to attack their little dog

Nearly one month later, on July 10, 1977, Craig’s body was found floating in a nearby strip-mine pond that had already been intensely searched in the first few days and weeks following his disappearance (Flynn, Grace). An autopsy report determined that there was no definite cause of death, but then again authorities had poured fuel on the body at the time of discovery to “kill maggots” supposedly. This move disabled all ability to make determination of cause of death from tissue samples. The sheriff at the time, along with the grand jury, recommended that the case remain open (Flynn, Grace). After several years, Craig Lloyd Graham’s cause of death is still listed as unknown with no new facts or evidence to help find out who committed this terrible crime (“Craig Lloyd Graham”).…

Ingalls 1 Cody Ingalls Professor Rhodes Introduction to Ethics April 15th, 2017 Case Study The debate surrounding abortion rights presents many ethical dilemmas, and is rarely a black and white issue, which makes it difficult to label all abortions as moral or immoral. Many people who are opposed to abortion are willing to support it in certain situations, such as in the case of rape, incest, or the endangerment of a mother’s life. One of these situations is described in the case study “Conceived in Violence, Born in Hate,” an overview of a rape and assault victim who was forcibly impregnated and decided to carry the child to term. The case raises interesting questions about the morality of abortions in the case of rape, and the autonomy of…
