Zebby And Amr Book Report

Decent Essays
Zebby and Amr are best friends who decided to create a website when in middle school to create a place where anyone can write what they want to say. They wanted the website, called truthabouttruman.com, to be only true things about truman middle school. When the students of Truman found the website, they used it to spread rumors about Lilly, a popular girl who was former best friends with Amr and Zebby, and less about what Zebby and Amr wanted the website to be. Lilly was threatened a lot and treated badly, she decided to run away when the cyberbullying wouldn't stop. (103)
Personal Allusion
In my opinion this book is very good for the age group of around 11 to 15, from 6th grade to around 10th grade. I suggest this age group because I think

If someone treats you badly it doesn’t give you the right to be mean to them. The author showed that when because since Lilly was mean to milkandhoney, milkandhoney thought it was a good idea to be mean to Lilly online which resulted in other people being mean to Lilly which lead to Lilly running away and possibly getting hurt or something bad happen to her.(87)
Analyze
In my opinion, the ending of the book cuts off before you know what happens to Lilly. Does she decide to ignore the bullies and move back to Truman? Does she make friends at her new school? Do the students at the new school know what happened to Lilly at Truman? Does she become friends with Amr and Zebby again? The story leaves you confused and I rather them end the story with those questions answered. I think that the most surprising thing thing that happens in the book is the true identity of milkandhoney.(95)
Characterization
One of the characters Lilly, reminds me of one of my classmates, she ditched her friends so that she could be with the popular crown and then the popular crowd decided that they didn't like her and stopped talking to her. In my opinion I am more like Zebby than any other characters in this book, she is different and doesn't care what other people think and surrounds herself with other people like

Both main characters, Lilly and Cady, change when they start to hang out with the popular group of girls, they act differently than they normally would around they old friends. The characters would start to find interest in things they thought they never would and care more about their appearance. (60)
Evaluation
I like this story, it is very realistic and shows what can result from bullying. This story shows how just by wanting the person who was mean to you to know how you felt, it could turn to possibly ruining a person's life. It shows that revenge is not always the answer and that sometimes it better to just ignore the person bullying you rather than ruining their life.(69)
Reflection
In my opinion the title, ‘the truth about truman’ is perfect for this book. The title is perfect for this book because the reason the students at Truman middle school were able to bully Lilly was for the website, without the website there would be no story. In this book I would like to know what happens after the ending. Does Lillys life change for the better or for the

Monkeys seem to be a common motif among children’s media. I remember when I was little and I read tales about nine little monkeys that jumped on the bed and a curious little animal named George. I recall that I really enjoyed tales such as these; perhaps I was fascinated by monkeys. Well, at least I know I spent many a time annoying my mother with requests to watch “that show with the guy and the big yellow hat.” But though my fascination is certainly no more, I was reminded of my early days while reading The Hatseller and the Monkeys, written and illustrated by Baba Wague Diakite.…
