Zaha Mohammad Hadid was an Iraqi-British architect, born on 31 October 1950, in Baghdad, Iraq to an upper-class Iraqi family. Hadid studied mathematics at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon before moving to London in 1972 to study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. Hadid has about 950 projects in 44 different countries according to Zaha Hadid Architects website. Hadid also worked with the interior architecture, product, and fashion design. The Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center was inaugurated in 2013 after construction work lasted about seven years and Zaha Hadid received the best design award. Sheikh Zayed Bridge is an arch bridge in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Crosses Khor Al Maqta, carries 4 lanes each way and named after the country's principal architect and former president Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the 842m long bridge is said to be the most intricate bridge ever constructed. Its curved design arches evoke undulating sand dunes of the desert. The main function for the bridge is the third traffic route connecting the mainland to the island of Abu Dhabi and the new main gateway over the Maqtah channel. The main bridge arch structure rises to a height of 60 m above water level with the road crowning to a height of 20 metres above mean water level.
