Zarp Journeyman Laborer Excavation Report

Today 11-17-15, a Zarp Journeyman Laborer was prepping an excavation at the north elevation on street level. The employee removed his gloves to use the engineer’s rod to check the elevation. With his gloves off checking the elevation he slid tis right hand along the perimeter edge of building plywood protection. A splinter broke off the plywood and lodged in the palm of the employee’s hand. The employee reported the injury to his supervisor and Elias Brooks. The employee was able to remove the splinter with tweezers from the first aid kit. On-site Health and Safety was dispatched to verify the splinter had completely been removed and provide additional first aid any. The employee was sent back to work the same day.
