Zaraye Monologue

PROLOGUE
Zaraye was rushing through house looking for her favorite brush to do her hair. She remembers now she had it in her mom’s room. When she enter into bedroom she saw her sister Lux asleep on the chaise. The chaise was her mom favorite place to read her bible. There laid Lux snoring with the family bible on her lap.
Zaraye spotted her brush on the dresser and tiptoe in room not to wake her sister. Zaraye noticed Lux still had on the clothes she had own last night. Zaraye thought about all the sacrifices her sister Lux had made for the family business . Most recent was job offer with multi-media company in California. Lux turned it down because their mother had to go Atlanta GA take care their Great Aunt Lee who had suffered a stroke.
Although Lux had not share it with her Zaraye was aware her sister was stressing about the center. She had overheard her sister talking to Aliyah one evening about Mr. Pratt the owner of the building. What she gather from the conversation Mr. Pratt wanted them to relocate PINKY Community Arts Center to another one of his buildings located in entirely different ward.
Zaraye knew that would be a major issue for some of DOLLS and other young people who come every day
