Zappos Mission Statement Analysis

Like many businesses, Zappos’ mission statement ambitiously includes that one word to try to pull in customers. Best. Many mission statements mention striving to have the best products, the best quality, or the best customer service. But because best is only referential to that which is unmatched only one of those mission statements is fulfilled. Zappos strives to make itself the online service leader, to make consumers associate it with unparalleled service with the goal of expansion in mind (Inc. 500 Mission Statements, n.d.) An ambitious statement, but is it attainable? Zappos has made smart moves in order to turn this bold mission statement into a reality.

Zappos is an online shoe and clothing shop that started in 1999 as a shoe shop.
