“I’m trying my best to be polite, but if you move that knife a centimeter closer to me, I will tear you apart.” She hissed.
“Oho! The great assassin dares to threaten me when her plan has been fouled!” The man before her let out a deep, mocking laugh, “How hilarious, indeed!”
“Remove your hand or I will rip it off and beat you to death with it.”
She was held by the neck by her prey. She glared at the man before her as he held a knife pointed towards her stomach. She was stagnant, or motionless. Her weapons had been all taken away. A heavy weight of discouragement and hopelessness weighted her down.
“Aggressive one, aren’t you?” The man chuckled, “Where’s assassin number 707? Looks like you’re out of luck today, sweetheart.”

“Well, the main character always comes last!” He grinned, his green orbs shone, “Okay, I’m kidding. There’s an upheaval back in the secret hideout. Saraki wants us.”
“Then let’s go already.” The female replied, tucking a loose strand of her brown hair behind her ear.
“Yes, yes, boss.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Alright, Evan.”
“It’s Evangeline.”
He let out a laugh which caused her to roll her eyes and walk away. As he saw her walking towards the exit, he followed behind her. As they got out, they headed towards Zander’s car that was parked in front of the exit. Zander took charge of driving as Evangeline sat on the passenger’s seat beside him.
After 15 minutes of driving, he parked the car centrifugal to the secret hideout to avoid attention. Ultimately, they both got out of the car and headed towards the hideout. They both expected it to be dense, but surprisingly, it was sparse.
“Good to see you both made it. I have to show you both something.” Another voice spoke. It was Saraki’s. Her expression was grim and serious. At this point, she gestured at both of them to follow
