They slowly stumbled into the dark, dreary barrack to escape the dust. Mother finally pulled the handkerchief away from her face, and rubbed her eyes so the dust could fall off her lashes. Everyone in the room took a deep breath of somewhat fresh air; it wasn’t dust, so it was good enough.
Yuki looked around the room to only see lots of beds, small and cramped up in this room.
“Well, here we are. This is where you will be staying for a while,” the guide exclaimed. Ken sighed in relief. Yuki wondered why she was here and what was going on, but every time she tried to ask Mother, the reply was only a look of grief in her face. Mother didn’t like one thing about this, and neither did Yuki. Yuki missed home, where they didn’t have to worry
