The track is called 56 Speedway. It is located in Brownsdale Minnesota, which is about an hour away. It was shortly before we left and we were loading everything up and getting ready. Before we left I stepped in my dad’s office for a minute and went on youtube. I looked up the track and there was videos with a gopro so you could see what they see. I watched a few and saw where they were driving. There was one lane where everyone was driving. My mom said, “We’re ready to go”.
So I came out, made sure I had everything then we left. On the way the way there my brother and I were playing cards in the back. Unfortunately the cards would fall every once in awhile. My brother got frustrated then threw them at my mom’s seat. We for them taken

Surprisingly I was able to keep up with some of the adults. The track was faster and grippier than any of the other ones we have been to. I knew it would get even better as the night went on and that made me even more excited. Not everything went great to start the night though. One of the clamps holding my motor on fell off and the other was about to fall out. If it would have fallen out my motor would possibly fall out.
It was heat time and I saw Michael Bryant next to me as I started 5th out of 6 people. “Good luck”, I said. “Good luck” Michael said.
I got up to fourth and finished there. Michael wasn’t far behind me. For the second heat I started 3rd. I dropped back to fourth and finished there. That meant that I started in 4th during the feature.
In the pits my dad said, “we could change the tires if you want”
This was a very hard choice, because the other tires were working well and i have always used them, but the other ones were newer, but we didn’t know what would happen. So we left the old ones on and I went back out. And we were off. The person on the inside of me went to fast into the corner on the start and passed me but coming out she almost went off the track and I got back up to

Pop Up I've played baseball as long as I can remember, but somehow, as a junior in highschool, my swing was still consistently inconsistent. You'd think that the many years of swinging a bat over and over and all the hundreds of baseball movies would have rubbed off on me, but you would be wrong. Well not completely wrong, I did learn a few pointers on how to get my timing down, and I could run decently fast, but I wasn't going to be drafted into the MLB or even scouted for a college team. Last summer, my VFW summer team wasn't anything special; we had a few solid players, but also some players, like me, were struggling to make solid contact with the baseball.…

My father has been a St. Louis Blues season ticket holder for over 20 years now. He began taking me to Blues hockey games when I was a nothing more than a toddler. Our family has bled blue for as long as I can remember, despite the 49 year Stanley Cup drought. Attending a hockey game with my father has always been a treat. When I was that toddler sitting in the back of my father's car on the way to the Savvis center for a Blues game, we always listened to the pre-game show on KMOX; listening to the pre-game has become somewhat of a religious tradition for us.…

The Daytona 500 I was in tenth place with fifty laps to go. One of the biggest races of the season, and I had a legitimate chance of winning it. I was extremely nervous and my hands were sweating so much that a pond was made in my gloves. I gripped the steering wheel as tight as I could, emptied my head of everything except the race, and pressed on the gas pedal with so much force that I thought i could the feel the asphalt of the track rubbing the bottom of my shoe. I maneuvered around the turns at extremely high speeds as a blew by every car I came close to, shooting by like a rocket.…

Personally, I don't think that I would open my business up next to a competitor. So naturally, when my mom proposed I run a 5k, which is about three times more than what I’ve ever run before, I laughed it off and followed it with a sarcastic “Yeah… I’ll think about it.” I guess I wasn’t sarcastic enough because within a few hours I received an email from my mom that showed that I was registered and all race dues were paid for.…
