Youth violence is harmful behavior that can start in early childhood and continue through adulthood. Now YV is a little more dangerous than it used to be. In modern times it consists of fist fights at school, murder, serious injuries and shootings. In 2014 there was an average of twelve victims a day, all being ten to twenty-four years old. In 2015 kids in grades nine to twelve, 7.8 percent reported being in a physical fight twelve months prior to the survey. There are multiple probable causes for YV drug or alcohol use, bad family situations, and a history of violence. Youth violence is still a very prominent issue in America.
