Once children reach a certain age participation awards shouldn't exist in youth sports.Taking away these participation will make young athletes more determined and teach them better life lessons. Although participation awards may be great to receive and may encourage young children to continue playing, it is taking important life lessons away from them. We win to play the game the whole object of playing is to win so why reward anything less?
