I would love to join and participate in the program NYC Ladders for Leaders because, I hope that as a teenager, I will gain the basic skills to act in society with a sense of responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and to have an optimistic outlook on life itself. And when on the note with that, I hope to receive more first-hand experiences with real-life situations and ordeals such as budgeting, T-accounts and such. With those skills, I can prove to everyone, including the more former generations that we, “young people” are just as capable of handling work and to able to manage with life. Of course with the necessary help and assistance of nearby friends, family members, and etc. However, I would like to persuade more into my preferred interest…

The organization that I showed the most interest in for this assignment was The Independent Collegian Newspaper. My High school that I graduated from, unfortunately, did not have a newspaper to be apart of, and when I found out about this organization on campus, I knew that it would be a great experience that I could learn a lot from.
