Having a constant amount of sugar in your everyday diet can cause your body to be overworked, leading to many diseases. There are three types of sugars glucose, fructose, and galactose each causing a different effect to the body. The article “How an artificial sweetener increases appetite” says that “Sucralose is a chemical relative of sugar and the study of sucralose found that the brain system detects that lack of energy and adjusts to increase appetite to compensate”. Due to the recent high consumption of sugar, obesity rates have started to become a rising threat, causing problems, pain, and death. I am constantly surrounded by examples of why I should better myself and take care of myself. So I have recently started to document how much calories and sugar I consume in a day. The first day I consumed 15 grams of sugar, the next day 17 grams, and the following 11 grams. In those three day I consumed 43 grams of sugar. So if I continue the way I am eating in a month I would have consumed 430 grams of sugar. In a year I would have consumed 5,160 grams of sugar; which is only 11 pounds. The average amount is said to be 150-170 pounds of sugar in a
